There are 2 ways to volunteer:
- Volunteer as an Individual - New individual volunteers must attend a Volunteer Orientation Session. These are held on the on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm and the third Saturday at 9am. Please register on VolunteerUP to reserve your spot.
- Volunteer with Your Group - Teams, companies and others interested in volunteering as a group should contact the office about our Team Build program. Groups of 4 to 8 can sponsor a day of construction ($1,000 per day) and build together. Give your team the opportunity to give back and do good work together. Individual orientation not required.
Ninety percent of the work it takes to build a Habitat home is done by volunteers, both on-site and off-site. Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity volunteer experience is like no other. It is a tangible result with immediate impact. Volunteers founded Pioneer Valley Habitat in 1989 and to this day remain an integral part of our operation and success. Our volunteer program is vast, offering many opportunities for many skill sets.
Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity relies on it's volunteers to build homes, but also to build our organization. Volunteers can:
- Help in the office
- Work on fundraisers
- Help at events
- Help with families
- Recruit other volunteers
- Work with faith communities
- Help build homes
- Other off-site projects
